C.M.S.F – Congregatio Missionaria Sancti Francissi
The Congregation of the Missionary Brothers of St. Francis of Assisi (CMSF) is an International Society of Religious Brothers founded in 1901, in India by Very Rev. Bro. Paulus Moritz of Germany. Franciscan Missionary Brothers are committed to lifelong missionary service. CMSF’s priority is the proclamation of the Gospel and its members actively involve in development of mankind and the promulgation of love and peace. The ministries include the foundation of schools, hospitals, leprosaria, clinics, orphanages, industrial training institutes, homes for street children, nursing homes, and special ministries among the poor and marginalized.
The Brothers of CMSF undertake works of various nature for the development of the downtrodden and those in the periphery. Responding to the signs of the times, this legacy has been carried on in myriads of ways by us in many countries like Germany, Italy, Switzerland, North America, Canada, Paraguay, Bolivia, Sri Lanka, Africa and India.
Today we continue to carry on the dream of our founder and manage 55 schools educating more than 1,00,000 children; colleges including professional ones, and 10 technical training institutes. We have established many orphanages, children’s homes, industrial training institutes for school dropouts, homes for abandoned elders and are also involved in various social ministries to help the poor and deserted to live in dignity.
The vitality of the Spirit is evident from the various pioneering activities we have initiated during the past 120 years.
Please know that you will be in our prayers every day
May St. Francis of Assisi our patron bless and guide you today and always.
